Elsie Gertrude Maxey

Gertrude Maxey, born July 12, 1919, died February 3, 2011.
The daughter of Walter and Bertha Reinhart and sister of Wilbert Reinhart, she graduated from Akron Buchtel High school and the University of Akron during World War II and worked at BF Goodrich where she met Frank Maxey of Lincoln Nebraska. They were married during the war.
Preceded in death by sons, Walter Edwin and James Michael; she is survived by daughter, Catherine Maxey of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Her last three happy years were spent at the Village at St. Edward in Fairlawn; special thanks to all those at that wonderful place.
Memorial service Thursday, March 10th, 1:30 p.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1480 Eastwood Ave., Akron, OH 44305 SE corner of Eastwood Ave. and Brittain Rd., phone 330-784-6608. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Summit County Red Cross Chapter, 501 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44303.
