Erica Barditch Lilly

Erica Barditch Lilly born May 18, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland passed away suddenly on May 22, 2012, after a valiant fight with cancer, which she handled with strength and grace over the past 10 years. She was a courageous and selfless woman who earned everyone's admiration.

She attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Master's Degree in Library Science.

Erica was an Associate Professor at Kent State University for the past 17 years, where she was serving as the Head, Chemistry and Physics Library. Erica provided personified service to students, faculty and staff. She was the consonant professional whose dedication and passion were greatly appreciated by all.

Erica's beautiful soul, gentle spirit, kind heart, witty personality and thoughtfulness resulted in a legacy that only few could hope to follow. When she walked into a room, her warm and enchanting smile would make you feel welcome and cared for.

Erica is survived by her husband, North "Face"; daughter, Rowan "Beloved daughter"; sister, Patricia Barditch Crovo, MD "Sisternik"; and sister in law, Carol Hogan.

Erica was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Shirley Barditch (nee Barsuk); brother in law, Terry Crovo.

Erica would often say "It is hard to know about things." Erica please know that you have touched so many hearts and lives. Rest in peace "beautiful lady".

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Billow Falls Chapel located at 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Friends may call Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the funeral home.
