Eudora Croysdale Haas

Eudora ``Dolly' Croysdale Haas, 93, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2011 at Summa Western Reserve Hospital. Her family was with her.

Born July 30, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio, she was raised in Lexington, Ky. where she graduated The Sayer School. After graduating from Western College for Women with a degree in Dietetics, she married and moved to Akron in 1940.

A wife and mother, she also worked at the newly founded Rockynol for several years and ran her own business. She was a single parent for seven years following the death of her first husband, Robert Croysdale. She remarried Aubry Dean Haas who also preceded her in death.

A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, she was also a founding member of New Covenant Community Church. She was active in the community, especially volunteering at Stan Hywet. She was an active member of PEO, The Akron Woman's City Club, and The Backyard Neighbors' Garden Club.

She is survived by her four children, Dolly Frances Gibson Bill, Ronald Croysdale Betty, Victoria Croysdale, and Roberta O'Donnell Rob; six grandchildren, Julie Crowley, Betsy Scales, Allison Houle, Ryan Canute, Sean O'Donnell, and Brent O'Donnell; and four great-grandchildren, Mike Crowley, Pat Crowley, Katie Crowley, and Deloris Scales.

Services will be held 4 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Dr. Richard O. Griffith and Rev. J. Philip Smith officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. Memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Community Church, The Akron Woman's City Club, or a charity of your choice.
