Eva Faye Copeland

Eva Faye Copeland, 92, died December 10.

She was born, August 18, 1923, in Akron, Ohio to Karl C. Kennedy and Blanche M. Kennedy. A loving mother and wife, she married J. B. Copeland on April 16, 1943. She spent her entire life in the Akron area, except for brief periods of time during World War II. Retired from General Motors, she was an avid reader, gardener, observer of birds, and a devoted grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved gathering her family, especially for her large holiday celebrations. She was a long time member of the Stow Community United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Douglas Copeland; and her twin sister Ava May Grosh. She leaves children, Karen Fritchman, Gary Copeland and his wife Lisa, and Mark Copeland and his wife Connie; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. (Corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) with Pastor Jim Case officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
