Eva Oma Gjurkovitsch

September 25, 1933 — May 6, 2011

Eva ``Oma' Gjurkovitsch

Devoted wife, Loving Mother and Grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2011.

Eva was born on Sept. 25, 1933 and lived in Linz Austria before moving to the United States at the age of 26.

Eva resided in Cuyahoga Falls area for the past 52 years. Eva was an extremely kind, generous and a beautiful woman who always had a smile on her face. She was a long time member of the German Family Society in Brimfield and was always volunteering to help. Although, her most enjoyable memories of the club were the times she spent on the dance floor with her husband and dance partner Frank.

Eva's ultimate passion was the time spent with husband Frank, raising her sons and being ``OMA' to her granddaughters. She loved getting coffee and going shopping for her girls but not without her life long friend ``Ruthie'. She enjoyed spending time with friends vacationing, playing cards or just socializing. Mostly she enjoyed the times she was taking care of her four granddaughters.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; many sisters and brothers. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank of 55 years; sons, Ronald Vicki and Richard Gloria Gjurkovitsch and her granddaughters, Jessica, Anna, Taylor and Aimee Gjurkovitsch all of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

As we continue with our lives, she will always be remembered in our thoughts and prayers and will be held so close to our hearts. She will be deeply missed by many, many friends and family. We look forward to the day we are reunited in Heaven.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd. St., Cuyahoga Falls with Rev. Maryla Meagher officiating. Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 11 to 1 Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 1815 W. Market St. #301, Akron, OH 44313.

The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Loretta Doss, the staff at Gardens of Western Reserve and her friend and nurse Debbie from In-House Hospice for the Wonderful care she received in her final and most courageous stages of her life!
