Eva May Miller , age 95, passed peaceably on Oct. 21, 2022 at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Eva was born on April 27, 1927, to Frank and Grace Smallridge in Akron, Ohio. She married James (Jim) Henry Miller in 1948. They were married for 59 years. Eva was an integral part of Jim's very successful career as a business executive at General Tire. Together they raised five children and cared for Eva's father Frank in their home until his death at age 93. They also were inspirational in the lives of their nine grandchildren. Eva's Christian faith was central to her life. While living in Akron, she and Jim were members of Westminster Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church. After Jim's death, Eva moved to Peachtree City where she was active at Evergreen Church. In 2015 Eva moved to Charlotte, N.C. and then in 2020 she moved again to Glenwood Springs, CO. In both places, she encouraged the people she met with wisdom gained from her experiences. After Jim's death, Eva became great-grandmother to twelve more children who brought her great joy. Eva is survived by her sister-in-laws Helen Barr and Kathryn (Cecil) Profitt; children Sandy (Michael) Beetner, Dr. David (Kathy) Miller, Scott McLain, Jody McLain, Kara Wilson; grandchildren, Tim (Kristy) Miller, Beth (Graham) Jackson, Sebastian Hopson, Riley (Josiah) Beetner, Kaitlin Beetner, Laina Wilson, Celia Wilson, Gretchen (Brian) Beetner, and Eric (Marie) Beetner, and twelve great-grandchildren.
