Evelyn R. Ling, 79, died January 7, 2011.
Born in Akron, she was a member of the High Street Christian Church, Gamma Beta Sorority, and the Church and Synagogue Library Association. Evelyn built the H.A. Valentine Library program at High Street into an award winning national church library model. She served as a librarian for over 35 years at High Street Christian Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert and parents, Harry and Mary Hoover; she is survived by good friends, Gene and Martha Thrall and Rev. Charles and Judy Mills.
Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY at the High Street Christian Church. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the High Street Christian Church, 131 S. High St. Akron 44308.
