Florence C. Shaefer "Aunt Kay", 93, passed away February 17, 2012.

Born in Cleveland, she was a resident of Fairlawn since 1966. Prior to that time, she was involved in St. Rita's parish and school in Solon, where she served as the volunteer librarian and choir member. After moving to Fairlawn, Flo's devotion to the Lord and St. Hilary's Church, choir, bible class and community fulfilled the Catholic life she cherished.

Preceded in death by her husband, Archie and son, Lawrence; she is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Larkin, Christine (Larry) Michel and Loraine (Michael) Cothren; and the light of her life, grandchildren, Jeremy (Chel) Larkin, Bradley (Jennifer) Larkin, Kathryn (Anders) Liljeholm, Lawrence Michel, Devin Michel, Natalie Cothren and Tyler Cothren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. WEDNESDAY, at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., 5 to 8 p.m. TUESDAY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333.
