Frances (nee: D’Agostini) Harris peacefully passed away on February 29th, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on August 29, 1939, in Akron, Ohio, Frances was chosen from among hundreds to receive a scholarship to the University of Akron, where she pursued a degree in business. Prior to starting a family, she worked at Goodyear. After having her five children, she held positions at B&W, and Cedarwood Construction. In her retirement, Frances transitioned from being a frequent shopper to an employee at Hallmark.
She was a dedicated mother and a cherished grandmother, finding joy in spending time with her family and indulging her love for reading. Frances had a sweet tooth, often sharing her weakness for baked goods with her children and grandchildren. Renowned for her culinary skills, she was particularly famous for her Italian spaghetti and meatballs, as well as her homemade butter cookies. Always prepared for any situation, she carried a plethora of essentials in her purse, from Tylenol to nail clippers, napkins, and even scissors on one memorable occasion. Known for her boundless generosity, Frances would go to great lengths for her family.
Frances was preceded in death by her grandmother Flora, her parents Henrietta and Atillio, her sister Valentina, her brother John, and her son John. She is survived by her children Michael, Julie (Joseph), David (Catherine), and Joseph (Diane). She is also survived by her sisters Joanne (Paul) and Sylvia, and her nieces and nephews Jordan (Shayna), Alexandra (Ryan), Paul (Noelle), Tony, and Jennifer (Bill), as well as her grandchildren Matthew (Dezirae), Nicole (Robert), Lauren, Alexandra, Sophia, Ava, and Christian, and great-grandchildren Izaac, Gabriella, and Khloe.
