Frances Keller

Frances Keller, passed away on December 26, 2018.
Preceded in death by Richard D. Keller, her husband of 57 years; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Richard Pursley and sister, Betty Bazur. She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Arthur) Richards of Akron and Mary (Greg) Philippe of Fort Mitchell, KY; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother, William Wackerman.

Frances' love of life was displayed by her constant smile and friendly, pleasant demeanor. She was an avid bridge player who loved to travel with Richard and her girls. She also loved to dance, play golf, and have fun with her family. She so enjoyed meeting new babies.

Frances was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and received a BS degree in dietetics. She spent many years working for East Ohio Gas as a Home Economist, providing support to schools and building contractors. She was an active member of Akron Women's City Club, ZONTA, College Club, BW Alumni Association, Delta Zeta Alumni Association, and Deacon at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She volunteered with the Akron Civic Theater, Weathervane, Coach House, and the United Way.

A memorial to celebrate Frances' life will be held 1 p.m. on SATURDAY, January 5th at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1250 West Exchange St., Akron, OH 44313. The family will receive guests from 12:00 Noon until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Akron Children's Hospital-Cystic Fibrosis Unit, the American Cancer Society, the Akron Women's City Club or the charity of one's choice.
