Frank Bohnert, Sr. passed away June 10, 2009.
Frank was born in Tshonpel, Yugoslavia on Dec. 23, 1930 and immigrated to the U.S. in May 1950. He lived in Cuyahoga Falls from 1950 until 2009. Frank spent 18 years working for Chestnut Ridge Dairy and 19 years for Woodridge Schools. He was a member of the German Family Society serving as president for six years, 18 years in the Verband der Donauschwaben and also played 18 years in a Polka Band.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Eva Bohnert and son, Hans, he leaves behind, his loving wife of 55 years, Katherine; sons, Frank, Jr. Theresa and Henry Mary; grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Adam, Katie, Ashley, and Jacob.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Kevin Haught officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
