Fred Arthur Walton

Fred Arthur Walton went to be with the Lord December 31, 2022. He had dementia but was interactive until his last illness. He graduated from Firestone High School in 1968 and obtained a business/accounting degree from the University of Tennessee. He enjoyed talking to people, so he started a business recruiting software engineers. Fred had physical challenges due to his Spina Bifida but never let them stop him from an active life. He liked to travel and visited numerous areas of the country including Alaska. His favorite trips were to Paris twice and several cruises. Fred was always willing to help others and was active in church and community. He belonged to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron and was included in numerous activities through the years. Cars were his passion, and he owned several prestigious sports cars and convertibles.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Long Walton and sister-in-law, Kathy (Ken) Durst.

Memorial Service Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m., St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

He was cremated and will be placed in the Memorial Garden at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in the Spring.
