Fred Peel, 68, of Bath, passed away Thursday, January 21 after a battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by parents, Sylvester and Delcabella Peel and brother, Alexander of Northern Cambria, Pa.
Fred was born April 8, 1941 in Marstellar, Pa. He served in the army and army reserves from 1959 to 1965. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company and was superintendent of the Bath Golf Course for 12 years. Fred retired from Giant Eagle in 2006. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and day trips to casinos.
He is survived by wife, Nancy nee Armstrong; son, Fred of Phoenix, Arizona; and daughters, Kelly of Fairlawn, Ohio and Linda Dan Sekanic of Brunswick, Ohio. He is also survived by brothers, Wesley Karen of Burton, Ohio and Richard Shirley of Cherry Tree, Pa.; and sisters, Phyllis Larry Barnes of Panama City, Fla., Colleen Dee and Doreen Frank Askew of Northern Cambria, Pa., Delca Jim Smith of Cherry Tree, Pa., Tracy John Bradford of Ebensburg, Pa., Delca Bryant of Taylor, Texas; sister-in-law, Gerry Peel of Northern Camrbia, Pa., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society ,
