Freda C. Harford

Freda C. Harford, 96, went home to be with Lord Sept. 24, 2012.

Born in Williamson, W.Va., she lived most of her life in Akron. A wonderful homemaker, she was loved by all and was known as Cito or Aunt Freda. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a former member of the Ladies Guild at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church for many years.

Preceded in death by parents, George and Nazera Neman; husband, Thomas James Harford; daughter, Nazera Safi; sisters, Mary Louise Neman and Lucille George; she is survived by daughter, Stephanie (John) Gallo; granddaughters, Tara (Joe) Kapzath, Renee Gallo, and Leila (Joe) Hanna; great- grandchildren, her dearest Joey, Brianna, Rami, and Anissi; sister, Genevieve Bree; sister-in-law, whom she loved as a sister, Jenny Welsh of Pennsylvania; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron 44319.
