Freda M. Simpson, died March 19, 2011.
Born in Columbia, Pa., she was a longtime Akron resident. She was a member of New Covenant Community Church formerly Monroe Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, the Women's Auxiliary of Professional Engineers, and the Georgetown Chapter A.A.R.P.
Preceded in death by her husband, David R. in 1994; she is survived by nephew, Charles Charlotte McCachren; and 13 other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the Carrell Center at Rockynol Retirement Community, 1150 W. Market St., with Rev. Dr. Richard O. Griffith officiating. Inurnment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona, Pa. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Covenant Community Church, 2095 W. Market St., Akron 44313.
