TALLMADGE -- Frederick Roy Scheetz, 78, went home to be with the Lord July 23rd surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 16, 1931 in White Eye's Township, Ohio, he was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. Active in the Streetsboro Sportsman Club, the NRA and the American Legion, he retired from the Ford Motor Company Walton Hills Stamping Plant as a tool and die supervisor. He enjoyed traveling, target shooting, outdoors and his dog, Pandi.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Micheal C. and Lena Miller Scheetz; son, Jeffrey; sisters, Ruth Shank and Donna Cullen. In addition to his wife, Myrna ``Joy' Scheetz; he is survived by son, Michael Merriel Scheetz; daughter, Pam Upchurch; son, Brian Kit Scheetz; daughter, Michele John Nelson; grandchildren, Jeremy and Kyle Pouncey, Stephen Shannon, Tiffani Nelson, Kelly and John Scheetz; granddogs, Gizzmo, Maggie, Makita and Lizzy.
Services will be held 1 p.m. TUESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Jean Hansen officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
