Our sweet, strong, beautiful ``son'shine, Gabriel, who was named after the archangel, went from taking his last breath in his parent's loving arms, into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday July 22, 2011.
In his 78 days here on earth, he enhanced so many lives through his strength, sweet spirit and perseverance. We will always remember him for his bright expressive eyes, magnetic personality and determined yet tender demeanor. He fought harder than anyone we have ever known and left us with a legacy of lessons, most of all the lesson of ``what we can do here and now'; our true inspiration.
He was preceded in death by his big brother, Christopher and maternal grandfather, William G. Boyle, Jr. He is survived by his proud Daddy and Mommy, Richard and Deborah; big brothers, Joseph and William; maternal grandmother; Sandy Boyle-Taillon; paternal grandparents, Joe and Janice Davis; great-grandmother, Mildred Boyle; tons of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and friends of friends, who all loved him so much.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our family, friends, friends of friends, NICU staff and Palliative Care at Akron Children's Hospital, for the love and support you've all given to our family. Especially Patty Flanagan, who was Gabriel's outstanding primary nurse, who walked side by side with us the whole time.
A celebration of Gabriel's life will be held on Saturday July 30, 2011. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at Rivertree Christian Church, 7373 Portage St. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646. We respectfully request that no flowers, food or gifts be sent.
To honor Gabriel's life, please do so by using your time, resources or talent to do something out of the ordinary to enhance someone else's life, as Gabriel enhanced ours. In other words``pay it forward'. or better yet, work on something within yourself that is a challenge to fight and traps you in your fears, as he fought fearlessly hard and it bettered those around him.
