Gary L. Petty

Gary L. Petty, 76, of Fairlawn, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Akron General Medical Center.  He was born in Akron on November 27, 1944 to the late Othel Petty and Antonetta (Fulvimari) Petty.  Gary proudly served in the United States Army from 1962-1965 in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers.  He was employed in sales, most recently retiring from Levin Furniture as Assistant Manager in 2006.

Gary is survived by his wife, Susan Shapiro; sister and brother-in-law Char and Neal Willey; nieces Kim and Keli; great nieces, Hope, Taylor and Abi and great nephews, Brandon and Tyler.

In honoring his wishes, Gary will be cremated and laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The Billow Funeral Homes Fairlawn Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
