Genevieve Martha Capron

Genevieve Martha Capron, (Delaney, Slusser), 101, born June 29, 1916 in Clearfield, PA, passed away August 24, 2017.

She moved to Ohio as a young child where she was raised in the Cuyahoga Falls area. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and worked as a secretary until she met and married her first husband, Jack Slusser, a WWII pilot who was killed during his service. She continued working for the B.F. Goodrich Local 5 as a secretary. She met her second husband, Kenneth, who she married in 1950 and became a homemaker after the birth of her three children.

Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents, John and Mary Delaney; brothers, Raymond, Jack and sister, Jean; she is survived by her children, Denise Gartner (Lloyd Hachat), Michael (Barb) Capron and Pat (Bill) Santos; brother, Bill (Joanne) Delaney; step daughters, Barb (Chet) Hardin, Linda Collins; grandchildren, Sean (Katy) Capron, Ryan Capron, Amanda (Kevin) Hansinger, Sarah (Jenna) Savago; great-grandchildren, Kaley, Tyler, Emma and Grayson; six step grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; nineteen step great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Genevieve's family wish to thank Dr. Jose Dy and Katherine from Visiting Physicians, Dr. Sulaiman Mapara and the Akron General/Cleveland Clinic staff of the Justin Rogers Hospice Care Center for their kind support.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. TUESDAY at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St, MONDAY from 4 to 8 p.m. The family requests donations to the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighters Benevolent Fund, 1924 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
