George P. Balaj, 52, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2012.
George was born January 12, 1960 to Thomas E. and Norma Balaj, in Akron, Ohio. He lived most of his life in the Akron-Canton area.
George was a proud and loving father to his son, Joe. He found great joy among his many horses and dogs and shared that joy by providing therapeutic horseback riding to children and young adults with disabilities.
Preceded in death by his parents, he will be missed by his son, Joseph Balaj; brothers, Edward (Jennifer) Balaj, Charles Balaj; sister, Beth (Mark) Beaton; nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Daniel, Samantha, Thomas, Rachel and Molly.
A memorial service officiated by Pastor Demetri of Faith Family Church will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Family and friends may call one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
