George C. Copetas, 89, died July 28, 2011.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Order of Ahepa, American Chemical Society, and the Akron Rubber Group. He was formerly employed with Atlantic Refining and Western Electric Company and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he was a technical superintendent in Greece and chief chemist, ESIDD, in Luxembourg, Europe.
He is survived by wife, Aglaia; daughter, Maria Copetas; and granddaughter, Sophia, all of Fairlawn.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N.
