George Robert Kechkes

George Robert Kechkes , age 87, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2023.

George was born March 11, 1936, and grew up in Barberton, OH. He proudly worked at Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills for 46 and a half years before he retired in 2001. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish in Cuyahoga Falls. George enjoyed building model airplanes and loved trains and clocks. He encouraged everyone he knew to buy Ford because he knew they were the best! He enjoyed playing the guitar and got inspiration from his favorite guitarist, Chet Atkins. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary E. (nee Olejar) Kechkes.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor Kechkes; daughter Teresa (Anthony John Sr.) Cujas; son Todd Kechkes; grandchildren Ashly Bridgett (Ricky) Carroll and Anthony John Cujas Jr.; sister Wilma (William "Bill") Stopar; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will take place FRIDAY, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Friends may call from 12:00 NOON until the time of service. Entombment immediately following at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
