George Dale McClain of Delaware, Ohio, passed away at the Grady Hospital in Delaware on March 9, 2013.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on June 9, 1945 and graduated from Copley High School in 1963 and attended the Ohio State University graduating in 1968. George retired from the Land and Acquisition Dept. in the state of Minnesota. He loved to go RVing, camping, watching the trains rolling along or switching cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowatha and Irvin of Akron. He will be remembered for his love of a special friend, Ms. Victoria Trachsel; sister, Ms. Linda Heath of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Mr. David A. McClain of Orrville, Ohio; two nephews and two nieces.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23rd at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with Rev. David E. Loar officiating.
