George S. Mousetes, 70, passed away peacefully October 5, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cleveland, he was a lifelong resident of Akron. George retired from Ohio Edison after more than 25 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a longtime member of Annunciation Catholic Church and most recently at St. Vincent. A devoted family man, George was happiest spending time with his grandchildren sharing his love of nature and the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Katherine; daughters, Julianne Michael Bedel, Jeanine Mousetes, Paula-Katherine Jason Catlett; grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriel, Jace; brothers, Irvin Barbara, Gregory Kathlean, Melody Bob Kaylor; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with Rev. Fr. Joseph H. Kraker officiating. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
