Gerald W. Corbitt

Gerald W. Corbitt, 85, passed away December 28th, 2016.
He was born in Edinburg Ohio and had lived in Cleveland, Kent, Bath Township, and Akron.
He received his Bachelors and Master Degrees from Kent State University and retired from the Akron Public Schools as an Educational Psychologist. He also worked for Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp and served in the Ohio National Guard.
"Gerry" is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Elsie; brothers, Ned, Earl, Adrian, and his second wife, Lois. Gerry is survived by sons, Michael (Tracey), Patrick (Carol), and Thomas. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his first wife, Joanne Corbitt.
Gerry enjoyed playing piano and had a good sense of humor. He had many friends and will be missed by all who knew him. He will also be missed by his dog, Buddy Von Pitalo.
