Gerald Sayre

Gerald W. "Jerry" Sayre, age 90, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday. December 30, 2014.
Born August 22, 1924 in Akron, he was the son of Delbert and Chloe (Slone) Sayre. Jerry was a dedicated sheet metal worker for over 65 years, he was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 33 (70); he retired from Ohio Fabricators in Akron. He was a member of the Rolling Acres Alliance Church.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bernice (Williams); brother, Don (Mae) Sayre, sister, Margaret Remazoski; and a host of family, friends, and neighbors.
The family would like to extend their grateful appreciation for the care provided by the staff of Hospice Care Center.
Friends will be received at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Monday from 12-2 P.M., services will follow at 2:00P.M. with Pastor Rob Hill officiating. Private burial will take place for the family at Rose Hill Burial Park.
