Geraldine L. "Gerry" Strayer
Geraldine L. ``Gerry" Strayer, 81, passed away September 24, 2008.
A graduate of Central High School, she retired from the Credit Department of National City Bank. Aunt Gerry was the best ``other mother" anyone could ever have.
Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard Arthur Strayer; sister, Kate Hodge; and brother, Ralph Smith; she is survived by her sister, Mildred Walmsley of Akron; brother, Cliff Smith of Canal Fulton; sister-in-law, Gerry Haury Charles of Stow; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services will be held 10 a.m. SATURDAY in the Mausoleum Chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park, with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., FRIDAY, 5 to 8 p.m. Gerry's family wishes to thank the good people at Sunrise Assisted Living of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron General Medical Center for all of their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunrise Assisted Living of Cuyahoga Falls, 1500 State Rd., Cuyahoga Falls 44223.
