Gisela Christa Kelley

July 12, 1944 — April 16, 2011

Gisela Christa Kelley nee Schroeter, age 66, was gently lifted up to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 16, 2011 after a short and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer at Hospice Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, Ruth Ansorge Schroeter and Kurt Schroeter; and sister, Doris Haskell. Leaving to cherish her memory is her son, Griffin Michelle Kelley; daughter, Greer Alan Wagner; grandchildren, Griffin, Jr., Collin, Mike, Austin and Ethan, and Riley and Noah; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was born on July 12, 1944 in Hirschberg, Germany, lived in Hamburg, Germany until the age of 18 when she journeyed to Cleveland, Ohio. She was a political refugee of World War II and a member of the German Girls Choir with whom she professionally sang and toured. Gisela was a window designer for Halle's in Cleveland. She was an enthusiastic gymnastics instructor in Richfield and at Gymnastics World. She was a bus driver for the Revere School District for 22 years where she retired and ventured to The Home Depot in Wadsworth as a garden associate, earning her certification in Horticulture.

Gisela will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. She is known for her great love for her children and grandchildren, her big hugs and laughter, and her dedication to hard work and most of all, her commitment with Christ.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 8 p.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel
