Glen R. Lindquist, 85, died September 24, 2012.
Born in Columbus, he lived most of his life in the Akron area. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by brothers, Martin and Victor and daughter-in-law, Jacquie; he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Fredericka "Fritzie" Lindquist; daughter, Alexa Sandmann; sons, Martin and Fred (Laura) Lindquist; grandchildren, Kira and Kevin Sandmann, Rachel Rieder, Olivia (Tyler) Bates, Spencer and Gracie Lindquist; great- granddaughter, Hope Morris; brothers, Carl and Paul Lindquist.
A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. THURSDAY at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St., with Rev. Eileen Woyen and Bishop Emeritus Kenneth H. Sauer officiating. Private inurnment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles, Ohio. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., WEDNESDAY from 4 to 7 p.m.
