H Patrick Murphy

H. Patrick Murphy, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Hospice Care Center.
Born February 16, 1932 in Fort Wayne, IN., he was the son of Christopher and Evangeline (Dilbone) Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who proudly fought in the Korean War; he was a member of the American Legion as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from Firestone in 1986 after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Linda (Hoylman); son Michael (Deborah); daughters Patty (Greg) Felber and Tracy Tibbitts; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Richard Tibbitts.
Services will take place at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333, on Tuesday. August 4, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
Memorials may be made to any American Legion or VFW post of one's choice.
