Harold L. Slucher, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a graduate of Southern High School and the University of Louisville. He was a long-time resident of Akron, Ohio, and retired from a long career with Degussa Corp and Ashland Chemical Co. He loved the game of golf and was a member of Fairlawn Country Club and The Sharon Golf Club in Akron. With his mischievous grin and kindness, he will forever be loved by his family and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Norman Slucher, and his brother, Norman Slucher. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 60 years, Barbara (Stinson) Slucher; his beloved sister, Jean Anne Slucher; children, Richard (Elizabeth) Slucher and Patricia Burns; grandchildren, Christopher Burns, Patrick Burns, Helen Slucher and Thomas Slucher; aunt, Rena Harden; sisters-in-law, Betty Green, Beverly Dudgeon and Ethelene Slucher; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A private committal service will be held on June 10 at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
