Helen L. White Gitter, 91, died Dec. 17, 2011.
Born in Akron, she was a graduate of Buchtel High School and the University of Akron. Helen retired in 1954 from United Airlines and was a 50+ year member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, Order of Eastern Star Falls Chapter 245, and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
Preceded in death by husband, Peter L. Gitter in 1990; she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Susan and James Simpson; grandsons, Nathaniel and Timothy Simpson; brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Juanita White; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour before services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gifts and Memorial Fund of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221. Billow FALLS Chapel
