Helen C. Leeper nee Thomas passed away peacefully on February 6 at her residence in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, on January 11, 1922, and graduated from North High School in Akron, Ohio, in 1940.

Beloved wife of the late Morton S. Leeper, Helen was the devoted mother to her three children, Eileen Harris of Scottsdale, Arizona, Lynda Kellerman of Culver City, California, and Michael Leeper Brenda of Chapel Hill. She was preceded in death by a son, David and is survived by her sister, Virginia Billig of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Helen was the loving grandmother of Deborah Harris of Atlanta, Georgia, Tamara Cathcart of Mesa, Arizona, Bradley, Alison, Casey, and Rich Leeper of Chapel Hill; great-grandmother of Sheri Lynn Harris and Charlotte Cathcart; and aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Helen and Mort raised their children in Akron and retired to Sun City West, Arizona, in 1978. In Akron, Helen was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and an active member of Temple Israel, and she served as President of the Temple Sisterhood.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, at 11 a.m. at Temple Israel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rabbi Robert Feinberg officiating. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Sandy and Mark Auburn, 1033 Bunker Drive, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
