Helen Grace Leiby (Thompson) went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2016 at age 95.
.
She was born in Clarion County, PA then moved to Youngstown, Ohio where she graduated from South High School and Youngstown Business College.
While attending church, she met her husband, Lloyd, who had just returned from the Army Air Corp. After marriage, she moved to Akron where she raised three children. She worked for Monsanto until she retired.
She was a member of The Chapel where she and her husband sang in the choir. Later she also joined Maranatha Bible Church. For the last four years she had lived in Simpsonville, SC near her daughter.
Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and loving husband of 48 years, Lloyd; she is survived by daughter, Linda (Richard) Howiler of Simpsonville, SC; sons, Rod (Beverly) Leiby of Parma Hts., OH and Dean (Paulette) Leiby of Ruckersville, VA; 9 grandchildren with many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. with John Wagner officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home FRIDAY from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44308.
