Henry Shelley

Henry Earl Shelley, of New Franklin, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20th, 2017, at the age of 83, surrounded by his family. Henry was born in Kenmore, Ohio, on July 13th, 1933. He lived in the Akron area his entire life, New Franklin for the past forty years. He retired from Reiter Dairy, in Barberton, Ohio after 32 years of service.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Donna Jean (Hackett) Shelley; mother and father, Ben and Hazel Shelley; brothers, John and Richard Shelley; and sister, Helena Wortham. He is survived by his children, Michael (Becky) Shelley of Flushing, Michigan, Theresa (Jeff) Seese of North Lawrence, Ohio, Cindy (Don) Allen, of West Akron, Ohio, and Mark (Pam) Shelley of Powell, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ben (Jen) Shelley, Angel and Marty Seese, and Henry, Lydia, and David Shelley; Great-grandchildren, Brennan and Aniston Shelley; and companion of 30 years, Marilyn Stauffer; as well as a host of neighbors and friends. Special thanks to Arden Courts of Bath and Heartland Hospice for the loving care they provided to our father.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer/Dementia organization of the donor's choice. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel).
