Irene E. Dickerson, 95, died Nov. 18, 2014.
Born in Manchester, Iowa, she lived most of her life in Akron. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. Irene loved to travel, sew and crochet.
Preceded in death by husband, Terry; daughter and son-in-law, Teryl and Vic Gregor; and brother, John Bobbitt; she is survived by son, Wayne; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Walter, Emily (Ross) Jaworski and Joe Gregor; and daughter-in-law, Debra Dickerson.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Conley Zomermaand officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour before services. Inurnment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cooper Cancer Center, 161 N. Forge St., Akron 44304.
