Irvin H. McMaster, 85, entered his eternal walk with the Lord Oct. 9, 2012.
Irvin was a lifetime resident of the Akron area. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Grace Cathedral Akron. Early in his career, Irvin was employed at Malone Advertising, and then became a speech writer at Goodyear Tire and Rubber from where he retired. Irvin was a very creative person. He loved the Lord and he loved to write poetry. He also loved traveling and boating.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; sister, Lois McMaster; sister-in-law, Wilma (Bob) Baranchik; and special "daughter", Patricia Randolph. Irvin was preceded in death by first wife, Velma and brother, Gale.
Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Cathedral Akron (Springfield Twp.), with Rev. Brock Miller officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour before service. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Grace Cathedral Akron, 1055 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
