Israel Crespo Badea Jr.

Our beloved Israel Crespo Badea Jr went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at his home in Cuyahoga Falls, OH after a courageous battle with cancer.

Israel was born on February 4, 1960 in Akron, OH to the late Israel Crespo Badea Sr. and his mother Dolores (Ira) Butler who currently resides in California. Israel had recently retired from his career at Universal Screen Arts after 15 very fulfilling and successful years.

He is survived by his wife Tayshomattee Badea. His 5 children, Dominique Badea, Israel Crespo Badea III, Keshia Jackson (Brandon), Brandon Badea (Kelly), Alita Jaya Badea and his 19 grandchildren. His siblings Angel Badea (Bridgitte), Antonio Badea (Julia), Lolita Nichols (Dwayne), Raquel Pachecho-Moorman (Jim), Dorcas Santiago (Ronnie), Isaac Badea (Dominique), Michael Orengo, Faustino Marks (Nioka), Dante Marks, Cezaree Marks  and Kenyatta Marks.

He is preceded in death by his (son) Lamar Badea, (grandmother) Fanny Wood, (uncle) Albert Wood and (aunt) Lucille Singfield.

Israel lived a life of love and devotion for his family. He loved social gatherings and spending time with those in his life. He was very intelligent, innovative and an artistic thinker who also enjoyed reading. Some of his favorite pastimes included playing chess, dominoes, and poker which he was very fond of. He also had a strong passion for music. His favorite genres were jazz, R&B and gospel. He was an adventurous traveler. Israel visited countries such as Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and various states throughout the country.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will truly be missed. Funeral service for Israel will be held on Saturday October 29, 2022 at 12 PM at Billow Funeral Home 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Calling hours will be from 10am-12pm on Saturday prior to the service. Burial will be at Mt. Peace Cemetery 183 Aqueduct St. Akron, OH 44303.
