Jack L. Arnold, Sr., 68, died February 6, 2012.
Born in Wadsworth, he grew up in Copley and was a resident of Richfield. He was a member of Bricklayers & Craft-workers Local 7 for over forty years. He had been a volunteer fireman for the Village of Richfield and was named Fireman of the year in 1977. A former member of the Richfield Jaycees, after retirement he also enjoyed driving a van for Old Trail School.
Preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Edna and brother, Wayne, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, JoAnn E. Arnold; children, Lori Cooke (John) of West Salem, Jack L. Arnold, Jr. (Stephanie) of Deerfield; grandchildren, to whom he was the "Proud Papa," Jimmy Cooke, Brittany and Brandon Arnold; sister, Dorothy Hart (Jim); sister-in-law, Carrie Arnold; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Service will be held 11 a.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Jeff Bogue officiating. Interment at Copley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home THURSDAY from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where the Firesfighter Last Alarm Service will take place at 7 p.m.
