James R. Abramson , 78, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on October 16, 2024. James was born in Nyack, New York on December 30, 1945 to the late Samuel and Dolly Abramson.
He was a graduate of Sterling College in Kansas, where he was a starting linebacker for the football team all four years and was in the 1971 edition of "Who's Who in Collegiate Athletics". After graduating from college, he entered the Pennsylvania Corrections System, first as a corrections officer, and after 24 years, retired as Captain of Internal Security and Investigation for the Albion Correctional Facility, in Albion, Pennsylvania. He was a lifelong camper, motorcycle rider and enjoyed fishing.
His greatest accomplishment though, was being a father to his son, Brennan. James is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan, son Brennan, step-daughter, Pamela and many loving family and friends. We rejoice that Jim has received a perfect mind and body since coming into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
