James "Cliff" Bellar

James “Cliff” Bellar, age 79, of Medina, OH passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024. He was born December 27, 1944 in Akron, OH to parents James and Victoria Bellar.

Cliff dedicated over 30 years to serving the Akron and Medina communities as a commercial realtor. He was a respected leader in his field, serving as President of the Medina Board of Realtors and being honored as the Ohio Association of Realtors' Realtor of the Year in 2014. Known for his unwavering commitment to his clients, Cliff was always ready to answer a call and find the perfect space for businesses to thrive.

A devoted community servant, Cliff played a pivotal role in bringing Habitat for Humanity to Northeast Ohio in the 1980s. He also served as President of the Medina Housing Network and Medina County Rebuilding Together, and was also a dedicated member of the Board of Directors for Community Action of Wayne/Medina County. His contributions left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Cliff loved traveling, barbecuing, and spending time with his family, often gathered around a table playing cards and sharing laughter. He loved to travel to the ocean and spent many trips in North Carolina and California. A lifelong fan of chocolate and Coca-Cola, he never hesitated to express his disdain for anything Pepsi. With his generous spirit, quick wit, and signature twinkle in his eye, Cliff brought joy to everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Victoria Bellar; and his daughter, Melissa Bellar Morehart. He is survived by his partner, Joellen Bryan; his children, John Bellar, Dani Bellar (Alan) Pilukas, and Katy (Mark) Aronica; his son-in-law, Ethan Morehart; and his beloved grandchildren, Zane, Kage, Anthony, Zoe, and Alex.

Memorial service 4 P.M. SATURDAY January 4th, 2025 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N Miller Road Fairlawn, OH 44333. The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
