James J. Gifford, 76, of Bath, Ohio, passed away January 20, 2012.
He was born February 24, 1935 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Edward and Eva (Dettling) Gifford. He was preceded in death by sister, Mary; brother, Edward; daughter, Suzanne. He was married to Pat (Brown) Gifford, who survives. Mr. Gifford retired from the City of Akron. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Heidi (Bertermann) Gifford; grandchildren, Spencer, Hannah and Madeline Gifford.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44303.
