James H. Kipp passed away May 11, 2014.
Jim served in WWII as a U.S. Navy Seabee. He took part in the invasion of Normandy and then was transferred to the South pacific until the end of the war. He returned home and continued to work in the family business, Hopkins & Kipp Auto Parts, serving as manager and later as president until his retirement. Jim enjoyed going to work, traveling and golf. A special thanks to good friends Jim Beringer and Tom Jahant for their support and understanding on the golf course.
Surviving Jim are his wife of 64 plus years, Vella Mae; sons, Jim and Jerry; daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Dave Badgett; grandsons, Alex (Sarah), Ed (Cheryl) and John Kipp; granddaughters, Jamie (Jaron), Nikki (Steve) and Sarah Badgett; great-grandchildren, Quade, Xavier, Henry and Tate.
Services will be Friday, May 16th at 11 a.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. No flowers please, just a prayer for those afflicted with an incurable disease. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
