James Paul Maguire (Jim), beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday September 23, 2016, at his home, after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.
Jim was born on July 8, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, where he resided for most of his life. He graduated from Firestone High School in 1967 and the University of Southern California in 1972. Following this, he took advantage of his extraordinary talent in photography to found Maguire Photo, a respected and successful commercial photography business that he owned and operated from 1972-2016.
Jim later married and had four sons with his wife, Beth.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Paul, and his mother, Martha. He is survived by his four sons, Alex, Matthew, Michael, and Andrew; three brothers, Robert, John, and Scott, and his numerous family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Calling hours will be held at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Friday, September 30th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Jim will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park in a private service on Saturday October 1st. Family and friends are invited and most welcome to celebrate the life of Jim at his home on Saturday, October 1st from 1pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
