James D. Maloy

James D. Maloy , age 83, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

He was born January 14, 1939, in Akron; son of the late James and Harriet (nee Darrow) Maloy. He was a proud United States Army veteran. James enjoyed gardening, a cold margarita, and loved living by the lake with his swans.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Maloy.

He is survived by his children, Tracy Maloy, Tammy (Greg) Rogers, James G. “Jay” (the late Linda) Maloy, Tricia (Brian) Pottinger, Daniel (Cyndi) Maloy, and Carrie (Garrett) Klein; grandchildren, Olivia (Zach) Eubanks, Reuben (Hailey) Greene, Gabrielle Greene, Nick (Kaitlin) Maloy, Nicolette Maloy, Taylor (Drew) McCoy, Tessa Pottinger, Daniel (Rachel) Maloy, Heather (Alec) Myers, Kristina (Nate) Reinhard, Patrick Maloy, Harrison Weatherbee, Jordan Klein, Emma Weatherbee; eight great grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Fred) Weigand; niece, Julie (Brandon) Hoke; and the mother of his children, Patricia Maloy.

Funeral service will take place Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333. Friends may call from 1:30 PM until the time of the service.
