James E. White
After 89 years of a good life Jim died on September 24, 2017.
He was born to Amelia and Holly White in 1928 joining big sister Helen. His education included Schumacher Elementary School, Buchtel High School where he
lettered in football and other sports, and The University of Akron where he was a
member of Theta Chi Fraternity. After graduating he served in the Army in the Counter
Intelligence Corps during the Korean coni�ict. He worked in several positions at B. F.
Goodrich Company.
At the University of Akron, he met and married Juanita O'Brien. He dearly loved his
family which includes sons, Gary and Jeff (Lynn) and grandsons, Brian (Tracey) and Matthew; and when our daughter, Nanci, married Mike Whittaker, our family grew to include Eric, Jenna, Alexa, and Izzy Whittaker, Brenda, Chad, Hayley , and C J Conaway, Rachel, Brandon, Anabelle, Mason, and Ryan Smith.
Jim's hobby was a love of golf, proud of making two holes-in-one. He was an active member of The First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and spent many hours
volunteering there and for the Tax Aid in the AARP program.
His family wish to thank the staff of Danbury Woods and the VNS Hospice for their loving care.
A his request, a private graveside at Rose Hill Burial Park is planned. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
