Jane Kepler Davis

Jane Kepler Davis, 64, passed away December 3, 2011. Jane graduated from Firestone High School in 1965 and went on to earn her BA in education from The University of Akron. Jane spent many years as an elementary school teacher in both Ohio and New Jersey where her students experienced Jane's caring and patient traits. Her students through the years have meant a great deal to Jane. She was also an active member of the Delta Gamma sorority, the Junior League and local church memberships. Jane spent much of her time volunteering at various organizations, most recently at the Akron General Hospital Gift Shop. She was a long time Yankees fan, enjoying sports in general. Jane was a talented gardener, profoundly faithful and cherished each moment with friends and family. She was deeply devoted to her children and her grandchildren, taking great pride in spending time with each and creating many special memories. Her family is deeply saddened by the absence of the huge presence in their life and the love given to them by their Mom and Granny.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Dorothy Burge Kepler. Jane is survived by sister, Lois Hendricks, and her loving family including son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kepler and Aimee Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Casse and Matthew Rose; and five grandchildren, William, Andrew and Elizabeth Davis and Alexander and Kyle Rose.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 North Miller Road, Fairlawn; memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you volunteer time to organizations assisting those in need during this holiday season, in honor of Jane Davis.
