Jean M. Hauser died Dec. 7, 2011. A life resident of Akron, she was C.E.O. of Hauser Products.
Jean was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church, Akron Women's City Club, Portage Country Club, and a former member of Tuesday Musical. She and Joe endowed a chair for the trombone section for the Akron Symphony Orchestra where Jean served on the Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees for many years. Jean's big heart compelled her to give to many charitable organizations especially St. Hilary Catholic Church. Jean liked to be an anonymous donor and received her enjoyment from seeing how other people benefited from her generosity.
Preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph E. Hauser, whom she married in St. Patrick's Cathedral in 1953; and their ``baby', Michael William; she is survived by her loving canine companion, Morgan William; and many devoted friends.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hilary Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Brunovsky and Fr. John Wessel concelebrants. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Hilary Parish Foundation, 2750 W. Market St., Akron 44333.
