Jeanne Basarab, 87, born August 23, 1924, passed away peacefully December 12, 2011 at Altercare of Hartville in Hartville, Ohio.
Jeanne was born and raised in Akron and graduated from East High School. She held a shorthand credential and was a retired Executive Secretary from Roadway Express. Jeanne loved her church St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Akron, enjoyed cards, bingo and baking.
She was one of six children born to the late Clarence and Ada Rayman and was the beloved wife of the late John Basarab for over 50 years.
Jeanne will forever be remembered by her son, Dave Basarab and his wife, Ann; her four grandchildren, Christina Lincheck, David Basarab, Jr, Michael Basarab, and Joshua Basarab; her seven great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Olive Rayman; and sister, June Howard.
The family will hold a private service at a later date to honor and celebrate her life.
