Jeanne E. Hamilton, 90, passed peacefully December 31, 2012 at home.
She was born September 12, 1922 in Grundy County, Iowa to Dwight and Sarah Mooty. A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, she had volunteered for over 50 years at the Women's Auxiliary Board of Summit County Children Services, was active with the Braille ministry and numerous other volunteer organizations.
Preceded in death by her husband, Glen; brothers, Paul & Roger; brothers-in-law, Alvin and Bob Hamilton and Bill Wolfe; she is survived by her son, Michael (Charmaine); grandsons, Ryan (Beth), Evan (Jennifer) and Grant; great-granddaughters, Katherine and Amelia; brothers, Tom (Linda) and Dale (Brenda) Mooty; brother-in-law, Virgil (Carrie) Hamilton; sisters-in-law, June and Dana Hamilton, Arlene (Bernie) Gillis and Irma Wolfe.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Women's Auxiliary Board of Summit County Children Services, PO Box 2253 Stow, OH 44224 or Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1250 W. Exchange St., Akron 44313.
She quietly snuck out the back door.
